bulletUSGS Site Location Maps

I don't know if this site is new, but it's absolutely dynamite! When you go there, you'll see a form. Leave the Feature Name field blank, then enter the State and County you want to search, and enter the word MINE as the Feature Type and do the search. You'll see a list of all mines in that county. Click on one and you'll get a map, like the one above, showing its precise location. Use this with your own maps to locate mines in your area or in an area you'll be visiting.
